Participation Requirements

1. Eligibility Requirements

The Narita Airport Transit & Stay Program is available to travelers arriving at or departing from Narita Airport, including transit passengers.

• Eligible participants must be non-residents of Japan and may stay in Japan for up to 90 days.
• Tours begin between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM (Japan Standard Time, JST).
• Participants must have a minimum of 5.5 hours available during their layover to join a tour.

Please note that travelers of certain nationalities may require a valid visa to enter Japan.

2. How do I register?

Advance reservation is required to participate in the tour.

• The tour will be confirmed once two guides have been assigned.
• Bookings must be completed at least 6 days prior to the tour date, by 11:59 PM (JST).
• Reservations for the following month open on the 15th of each month at 12:00 AM (JST).
• Please note that capacity is limited, and reservations may not be available depending on availability.

The reception counters are located as follows:

• For arrivals at Terminal 1 (View counter location)
• For arrivals at Terminals 2 and 3 (View counter location)

3. What do I need to join the tour?

Please bring the following items when joining the tour:

• Passport
• Boarding pass(es)
• Valid entry visa (if required)
• Tour booking confirmation
• Cash (amount varies depending on the tour)

Eligibility to participate in the tour is subject to Japan's immigration requirements.

If your checked baggage is not through-checked to your final destination, please store it in a coin-operated locker or a luggage storage counter at your own expense.

4. Important Notes

• Tours are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and reservations will close once capacity is reached.
• Each transit passenger staying within 24 hours may reserve only one tour per layover.
• Passengers with a layover of over 24 hours may reserve up to two tours.
• Tour itineraries are subject to change depending on weather and traffic conditions.
