Tour 6 (Kozaki Town)

Feel a Fermentation Village with Wild Sake&Slow Japan

Kozaki Town is known as the village of fermentation and has long been a town where the production of fermented foods has flourished. Although it is a small town, its main attractions include two sake breweries with a history of over 300 years, as well as koji stores, miso stores, bakeries using natural yeast made from sake lees, and cafes. The unique gourmet experiences available only in this village of fermentation are a major draw. You can refresh both your mind and body as you explore shrines and rural landscapes. Note: Please note that the itinerary includes a 20-minute walk.
【Important Points for a Sake Brewery Tour】
Please avoid eating natto, kimchi, yogurt, or citrus fruits from the night before your tour. The bacteria in these foods, can affect the sake brewing process.
Please avoid wearing strong perfumes, colognes, or scented products, as they may affect the delicate aroma of sake.
